He was very excited when he unwrapped it, but when we opened the box, the pieces were already unwrapped from their packing, the screw bag was open, several important pieces were missing and 1 piece was damaged. This was clearly a returned item that went back into sale stock. 10/10 for the product but very unhappy with Argos.'

There was quite a bit of assembly required so I'd recommend putting together before presenting to avoid impatience to play. The cardboard additions were torn within moments (as always) so seemed a little unnecessary when everything else is sturdy. One of the most played with toys over Christmas.'

5/5  Ninch 'I bought this pre Christmas for my grandaughters to play with at my house, on putting it together we quickly realised there were no screws in our box, tried to call the helpline number to find that the telephone number printed on the details is an electrical helpline, after waiting an age to get an answer i eventually gave up and drove to the store to change it which was swopped without problem, we then purchased another chad valley cake stand to give us more cakes for our cafe. The toys are lovely nicely made, my grandaughter loves it, we are now searching for a nice tea set so we have more plates for cakes and cups for our coffee. Well done Chad Valley and Argos'
