The coloured pens with the set, although only a few colours, are all good, bright colours. Be aware that the pens do transfer to the side of the hand doing the colouring. Takes a good soapy wash but it does come off. I found it a safe bet to put a washable table cloth under the are to avoid the colours transferring to furniture etc. 7 year old had hours of fun and really enjoyed doing it'
