When assembling the first the side pieces split; we believe that this is due to the design for assembly with a plastic insert in the hole pre drilled for the screw. This time around (we really wanted a triple bunk for our three granddaughters' dolls) we removed the plastic insert and filled the hole with wood glue. It is now assembled and reasonably sturdy.'
