It is double sided, one side a town, the other a seaside town, both well-designed and inspiring for little car collectors. The two cars provided are sturdy and cute! The downsides are that it is not as big as other mats and is not rug-like, being thin and flat. It arrives folded into a small box, which means there are very strong creases, making car driving on it difficult. I found that it can be flattened by holding a steam iron over it - it would have been helpful if that information was on the box. After steaming, the mat cannot of course go back in the box and must be stored rolled up.'

The playmat comes with 2 cars that are soft and easy to hold for a child his age (i.e., no hard/sharp plastic bits). The police car is his favourite! The playmat itself is surprisingly lightweight and doesn't crease if you roll/fold it up or are a bit rough with it. It's made from polyester and is quite smooth, so all kinds of cars/toys can drive around without a problem. Both maps are bright and really colourful, which helps with replayability and keeps my nephew engaged! Overall, I'd recommend this because you essentially get 4 things (2 maps + 2 cars) for a reasonable price, and it's a really fun gift. (My nephew would recommend it too, if that helps!)'
